About Amy

Amy sees patients of all genders, with eating, weight and shape related challenges. She is experienced with individuals with domestic abuse histories, as well as those with medical and reproductive trauma.

Amy is skilled in challenging feelings of shame and worthlessness, providing safety to individuals who find it hard to speak about themselves or their past. Amy has a particular interest in the impact of earlier experiences in shaping automatic patterns we have in the present, drawing on practical strategies to change these patterns when maladaptive.

She draws on a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT, CBT-E), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to tailor treatment to each person's unique needs and goals.
